Here everything ends, and begins

I am going to try and say this the best way I know.

1. Adam was just ressurected by Angels. To save the world. I don’t know, but if anyone was in his place they’d trust the angels first. Because you know: ANGELS.

2. He’s never met Sam and Dean before then. Sam and Dean are strangers to him. And again he’s trusting the Angels, because hello Angels and he doesn’t know that they’re lying bastards. And it’s established Zachariah has poisoned Adam’s mind about Sam and Dean.

3. In “Jump the Shark” we saw how betrayed Dean felt at the thought of John having another son and cheating on Mary’s memory, and hence couldn’t accept Adam. What’s to say Adam wasn’t going through the same emotions? He just realised his mom was the one night stand version of a replacement goldfish for Mary. Besides he’s been told that Dean and Sam had John all their lives, whereas Adam had three or four visits for all his life. He knows his brothers for a grand total of ten minutes, and they have him on lockdown. It’s a miracle he didn’t try and club one of them.

4. Most importantly Adam’s established to place his Mom at the top. Hence Kate > Winchesters. Any day. Why the fuck is he going to bother being pally with them when what they want won’t give him his Mom back?

5. Adam has been shown to accept the Winchesters. When they came for him after he found out Zachariah tricked him? He warned them to go away because it was a trap.

6. Sam and Dean have come to Adam’s rescue a grand total of twice. Once they didn’t even know about his existence, and then it seemed more like obligation. Since that was a ghoul it doesn’t count. The second time, was because they didn’t want Adam giving Michael consent and starting off the Apocalypse.

7. Adam’s been in hell for the past two seasons. Stuck in the Cage. with Michael and Lucifer and probably going insane. Once Dean got Sam out, he seems to be forgotten. It’s almost a: “ohlol yeah Adam” at this point. Welcoming Adam back with open arms and dying for him? Where the hell did you even get that?

Having Adam want to, to paraphrase one of Adam’s famous lines, immediately hop into their arms and have a dewy eyed bromance with them, is completely stupid and undermines his character.
